A BABY brushtail possum nicknamed Scratch has become one of the faces of the fight to save trees earmarked for removal for Sydney’s light rail line.
No animals or birds were rescued or relocated from the 40 mature trees chopped down on Alison Rd and Anzac Pde at Randwick, according to Transport for NSW.

Westconnex and Light Rail Problems: Solved!

Apparently the cost of Westconnex in Sydney will be something like $45 Billion which will encourage thousands more cars onto our congested roads, increase traffic congestion and kill Sydney trees and green spaces. For $45 Billion we could buy 90,000 buses, which would take 9 million cars off the road, and save our green spaces. Problem: Solved.

Apparently the cost of the Sydney Light Rail will be $3 Billion to install and operate 30 trams, which will cut public transport capacity, increase traffic congestion and kill Sydney trees and green space. For $3 Billion, we can buy 6,000 buses to take 600,000 cars off the road and save our green space. Problem: Solved.

Please, cancel the contracts, save our city from economic, environmental and social degradation, and lets make Sydney Beautiful again!
