This was the news on the front page of the Sydney Morning Herald today. Hopefully we will see more headlines like this soon. Please comment on this article online and write a letter to the editor.
Now that the Parramatta Road Light Rail has been axed, we now need to call NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian 02 8574 5000 and NSW Labor Leader Luke Foley 9230 2310 to ask them to put up a motion to cancel the Sydney Light Rail.
Transport for NSW continue to refuse to release the forecast expected patronage capacity per hour, and the forecast journey times, which are key to realising the $3 Billion economic benefits of the Sydney Light Rail, despite a recommendation to put this information online by December 2016.
We believe that the state will be financially better off to cancel the project, and develop buses instead.
